As the Daily Ludington News reports, a Lumber Heritage Trail is the first of six planned cultural tourism trails in Mason County, and this first one will be rolled out this summer.
The trails — followed next year by a Quilt Barn Trail, then an Agri-Tourism Trail, Maritime Heritage Trail (tied to the opening of the Port of Ludington Maritime Museum), Sculpture Trail (with sculptures in communities throughout the county) and Performance Trail — are being created to draw more people to the area, helping make the community even more of a destination for travelers.
